EPIC Universe Entry Portal Display

I wanted to try designing something more intricate than the wand holder and settled on the EPIC Universe entry portals.  There is a lot of detail on the entry portals in real life but I wanted to see if I could do a minimal interpretation of each portal.  The goal was to see if I could telegraph the detail in just a few layers.

I ended up spending a lot of time on some of the details, mainly because I was trying to print them vertically so that the detail could be on both sides.  I eventually deserted that idea, rightly so.  I intially also didn't have as much detail on the Chronos tower but my kids kept pushing me to add the portal emblems, and I'm glad I did, they look great. 

I initially did these as bookmarks but after seeing the end result I knew that I wanted to be able to display them.  I created a fun display base that each portal can slot into (in any order that you decide).  I am so happy with this piece and I want to do more designs with the portals, stay tuned for more.
