EPIC Universe Celestial Park Light
Posted on: 07.21.2026
During my visit to the brand new EPIC Universe I was overwhelmed by the amount of detail. I began noticing the light posts in the various portals. There are some great light posts! They each have different details and help tell the story of a given portal in a different way.
I liked the Celestial Park lights especially, they were a clean design and were a great look. As I wanted to increase my skills with 3d modeling I wanted something more complex that required several parts and that I could use something like a light to bring it life. I looked at the various light posts from EPIC Universe and decided that the Celestial Park ones were a great candidate.
I was able to find a bunch of reference material from YouTube videos where they walk through EPIC Universe. As a side note, these are some of my favorite ways to be transported back to the various theme parks I don't get to visit often.
One interesting thing I learned from these videos is that the decorative "fins" on the light posts were not all installed at opening but were added afterwards. My initial reference material didn't have them on there and they only seemed to be on the light posts before the Chronos Tower Portal. Which was confusing to me because I could have sworn when I went a month after opening they had them on each light post. Later I was watching another YouTube video and yelled out when I saw they had been added to the exact same light post I was using as my reference post. If you're curious I was using a light post over by the Atlantic restaurant.
I hope someone else finds a little joy in this 3d recreation of a Celestial Park light post. One day I want to add little speakers to the model that can play some of the music from Celestial Park.
