EPIC Universe Chronos Tower Lamp

I'm happy to present my EPIC Universe Chronos Tower lamp!   

I had a lot of fun working on this project!  It was fun to decide how to translate a real object in the world into a sliced lamp. 

My desire with this project was to capture the charm and excitment of walking through the Chronos Tower at EPIC Universe.  I knew I wanted the lights to light up the portal tunnel the brightest and then also the Chronos tower.  I think I was able to achieve exactly what I had in mind!  I'm also super happy that I was able to figure out the spinner part of the Chronos in the print.  I learned how to do a print-in-place spinner and it allows it to be adjustable and positioned as needed.   One day I will have a Chronos tower print with a motorized spinner on it. 

This project was inspired by the Wave Lamp on MakerWorld but I wanted to try it with a theme park twist.  The Chronos tower was the perfect subject to try it on!  For right now I'm not sure I'll do the other portals.  Although the idea of the Dark Universe portal would be so cool because I would have it transition to the building with the roof and beams like it does in the real life portal.   But some of the other portals such as Berk scare me because it's a lot of natural shapes which I'm not as good at yet.
